Accounting Specialist/Part-Time

Job Summary

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for specific daily and periodic accounting functions with an emphasis on billing. Responsibilities also include performing various administrative functions in an orderly, efficient and professional manner. On a weekly basis 20-25 hours of work will be necessary to complete job requirements.

Job Duties

Accounts Receivable/Billing

  • Create and send invoices in various formats adhering to multiple customer specific billing requirements
  • Correspond by email and phone with customers regarding payments and invoicing questions
  • Process customer payments
  • Ensure proper approval is obtained on specific orders prior to invoicing
  • Post billing entries into accounting system
  • Create and maintain customer records

Other

  • Send customer delivery notifications
  • Maintain various journals and reports in Excel
  • Sort and open mail
  • Greet visitors and ensure proper protocol is followed for both vendors and customers coming on premises
  • Perform other related duties and complete special projects and requests

  • Good basic computer knowledge with understanding of accounting processes
  • Great Plains software experience a plus

Educational Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent with prior accounting experience or minimum Associates Degree in Accounting, 2+ years in Accounts Payable

Pre-employment drug testing required.
